Pacific League champion Carson (9-0), The Times’ No. 1-ranked City high school team, is top-seeded in the 4-A Division football playoff pairings. First-round play begins Dec. 4.
The Colts will open defense of their 4-A title against El Camino Real (0-6-2). Granda Hills (6-3), the Valley League titlist, is second, followed by Banning (6-3) and San Fernando (6-1-1).
In the 3-A Division, Crosstown League champion Palisades (7-2) is top-seeded, and Chatsworth (6-3), the Sunset League titlist, is second. Franklin (6-3), which defeated San Pedro, 28-12, for the Freeway League title Saturday, is third, with San Pedro fourth.
In the 2-A Division, defending champion Reseda (8-0), the Pac-8 League champion, is top-seeded, and Eastern League titlist Roosevelt (6-1-1) is second. Eagle Rock (6-3) and Huntington Park (5-2-1) are third and fourth, respectively.
