Scholefield and Sander Share Medalist Honors

CARMEL —
Defending champion Cindy Scholefield of Malibu shared medalist honors Tuesday in qualifying for the 21st California Women’s Amateur Golf Championship.
Scholefield’s 38-37--75 was matched by Ann Sander, USGA senior women’s champion from Seattle, who turned in a 39-36--75.
Match play runs today through Sunday on the Carmel Valley Golf and Country Club course.
Tied for second at 76 were Kim Lasken of Whittier and Stephanie Parel of Stanford.
