Marinovich Receives National Recognition

Todd Marinovich, Capistrano Valley High School quarterback, has been honored with two national football awards after becoming the nation’s prep passing leader with 9,165 yards in his four-year career.

Marinovich will receive the National High School Coaches Assn. offensive player of the year award Saturday at Chicago. The group will honor 25 players.

Marinovich was also selected as the national high school player of year by the Touchdown Club of Washington, D.C. Marinovich will travel to Washington, D.C., on Feb. 27 to accept the award.
