Smith Lifts Master’s Over Cal Baptist, 55-53

Kenny Smith converted a three-point shot with 1:52 left to help The Master’s College to a 55-53 victory over Cal Baptist in an NAIA District III game at Master’s.

Smith’s shot gave the Mustangs a 54-51 lead. After Cal Baptist scored to close to within 54-53, Phil Hahn made 1 of 2 free throws with six seconds left to assure the victory for Master’s.

Hahn finished with a game-high 19 points and David Knechtel added 10 for Master’s (5-9, 3-3 in district play). Tim Skellenger led Cal Baptist (8-5, 0-2) with 18 points.
