Girls’ Basketball : Belitran Leads San Fernando to 39-19 Win

Marisella Belitran scored 9 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead first-place San Fernando to a 39-19 Pac 6 League victory Wednesday at Sylmar.

Kristie Flukers pulled down 16 rebounds for the Tigers, who improved to 4-4 overall, 4-0 in league play. Sylmar is 3-5, 2-2.

Reseda 69, Taft 30--Reseda remained in first place in the West Valley League with an easy win at home behind the play of Sharlene Cirrito (24 points) and Cheryl Hightower (10 points and 10 assists).

North Hollywood 93, Grant 28--Four North Hollywood players scored in double figures in the West Valley League rout at home. North Hollywood (9-3, 3-1) was led by Leticia Carranza with 19 points and 9 assists, and teammate Sandrine Rocher added 18 points.

El Camino Real 80, Granada Hills 34--Kerrie Marshall had 24 points and 11 rebounds in the Valley League game for El Camino Real (9-3, 4-0) at home.

Canoga Park 57, Birmingham 43--Sophomore Carol Lee scored a game-high 23 points as Canoga Park (5-3, 3-1 in league play), recorded a West Valley League win at home.

Roz Linton added 10 points and 22 rebounds for Canoga Park. Birmingham is 2-2 in league play.
