Torrey Pines 73, San Marcos 49--No. 1-seeded Torrey Pines’ Kevin Flanagan, who finished with 23 points, scored the game’s first 8 points, and host Torrey Pines (27-1) outrebounded the visitors, 53-33. San Marcos was 7 of 30 from three-point territory.

Madison 63, Fallbrook 48--A full-court press and three three-point shots keyed a 24-12 fourth-quarter that lifted host Madison, which led by three points after three quarters. For Madison, the No. 2 seed, Robby Robinson scored 23 and Jeff Harper 22, and each had 10 rebounds. Mike West scored 26 and Todd Adamson 11 for Fallbrook. Harper made two three-pointers in the fourth quarter. Madison is 23-2.

Escondido 81, Grossmont 69--Paul Baldwin scored 27 points and Brooks Barnhard had 22 points and 15 rebounds as Escondido (20-5) led by 8 at the end of the first quarter and maintained the lead. Mason Stevenson had nine rebounds off the bench for Escondido. Jason Foggiano scored 35 points for Grossmont (11-13) and Lance Williams added 24.

El Camino 63, Mission Bay 48--Steve Carr, Scott Oatsvall and Lee Cobb each scored 14 for host El Camino (21-4). El Camino trailed early, but Carr’s two three-pointers put the Wildcats ahead for good, 16-11. Oatsvall and Cobb were both injured in the first quarter, but both came back to play later. Mission Bay finished 11-16.

University City 75, Castle Park 68--Despite a game-high 28 points from John Stanton, host Castle Park (17-8) couldn’t overcome a strong fourth quarter from University City (15-9). Castle Park led at the half, 41-32, but University City closed the gap to five points entering the final quarter, and then outscored the hosts, 24-12, in the fourth quarter to win.
