Chris Beeman turned frustration into relief as he broke out of a batting slump with two home runs to lead Mt. Carmel to an 11-6 victory over Santana and the 3-A division championship of the 38th Lions tournament.

Beeman, a catcher, entered the game hitting .140 and batting ninth in the lineup. But he went 3 for 3 with a walk and 4 runs batted in against Santana.

Beeman hit a three-run homer off Santana starter Joe Church in the first inning, then had a bases-empty home run, an RBI single and a walk off the next three Santana relievers.
