Alemany 7, St. John Bosco 0--Charlie Winner threw his third consecutive complete game as the Indians won a Del Rey League game at Alemany. Winner (5-2) scattered six hits while walking one and striking out seven.

Joe Cupo had two hits and three runs batted in for Alemany (15-9, 6-4). Ray Cano and Greg Biley each added two hits.

St. Genevieve 4, Pater Noster 1--Roland De La Maza of St. Genevieve gave up his first earned run in 33 innings and the Valiants were held to three hits but still prevailed in the Santa Fe League game at Scholl Canyon Park in Glendale.

De La Maza (5-1), who surrendered a solo home run to Jeff Derrico in the bottom of the fourth, struck out 13 and walked one.

Shortstop Joe Cascione drove in Alfonso Gutierrez with the winning run in the fifth. St. Genevieve (15-2-1, 9-0-1) added two runs in the sixth.

Quartz Hill 11, Saugus 3--Quartz Hill capitalized on five Saugus errors to score seven runs in the first inning and chase starter Tom Dodson after two innings of the Golden League game at Quartz Hill. Saugus (14-8, 8-4) had four hits and committed six errors.

Chaminade 5, Bell-Jeff 3--The Eagles scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning in the Santa Fe League game at Olive Park in Burbank.

Bob Rosemont (5-2) got the win in relief and Kenny Meyer the save for Chaminade (15-5-1, 9-1-1).

Agoura 10, Nordhoff 1--Brian Smith doubled twice and Jami Henderson added a two-run double as the Chargers mounted a 13-hit attack in the Frontier League game at Nordhoff.

Scott Heflin was 2 for 4 for Agoura (9-8-2, 4-4-2). Jeff Ritter (5-3) gave up nine hits and struck out four for the win.

Santa Clara 5, Calabasas 4--After tying the score, 4-4, in the top of the seventh, Calabasas gave away the Frontier League game at Santa Clara in the bottom of the inning on two walks and an error.

Canyon 7, Palmdale 4--Brad Anderson hit a three-run double to lead a five-run Canyon rally in the third inning of the Golden League game at Canyon.

Mike Pascal, Gary Morgan and Erik Martinez also doubled for Canyon (5-11, 4-7).

Pasadena 4, Hoover 1--The Tornadoes stranded seven runners, had one caught stealing and hit into three double plays in losing a Pacific League game at Pasadena.

Oak Park 4-5, Bishop Diego 1-1--John Daley (2-4) struck out 12 and walked two for the victory in the second game after striking out two in 1 innings of relief in the first game of the Tri-Valley League doubleheader at Oak Park.

Scott Veres was 2 for 3 with an RBI in the first game and Mark Carr was 2 for 2 with a home run in the second game for Oak Park (9-6-2, 6-3).

Faith Baptist 8, Bel-Air Prep 7--Pitcher Rich Leon hit a three-run home run and pitched a complete game as Faith Baptist recorded a Delphic League upset at Faith Baptist. Shaik Nabi doubled home Lenny Boen with the winning run in the sixth.

Village Christian 7, Marshall Fundamental 2--Matt Bates struck out 10 and walked one as the Crusaders rolled to a victory in the Alpha League game at Bluebird Field in Sun Valley.

Highland Hall 2, Newbridge 1--Takeshi Suesada scored the winning run and threw a two-hitter in the Westside League game at Highland Hall.

Grace Community 18, Clearview 2--Cal Frost hit a single, double and home run, drove in four runs and pitched a complete game as the Hawks won a Westside League game at Grace Community.
