Westminster’s Klesko Lifts His West Team

Ryan Klesko of Westminster High School had 2 hits and 2 runs batted in as the West defeated the North, 12-4, Friday to win the U.S. Junior Baseball championship in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Klesko had a double and a triple. Mike Smedes of Laguna Hills had two hits and an RBI. Joe Furukawa of Canyon added two hits.
Tyler Green of Denver pitched seven innings for the victory.
