New Loyola Marymount baseball Coach Chris Smith has completed his coaching staff with the hiring of two former professional players as assistants.
Dave Stabelfeldt, 35, a catcher in the San Francisco Giants organization, was named to handle pitchers and catchers. Bill Geivett, 25, who recently retired after four years in the Angels farm system, will handle the infield.
Smith replaced Dave Snow last May when Snow took the coaching position at Cal State Long Beach.
