San Diego State Edges Air Force

SAN DIEGO —
Paul Hewitt ran for 259 yards and 4 touchdowns, including a game winning 1-yard dive with 24 seconds left as San Diego State defeated the Air Force Academy, 39-36, Sunday night in Western Athletic Conference play.
Hewitt set a school record with 45 carries as San Diego State snapped a seven-game losing streak.
The winning drive came after the Falcons moved ahead, 36-32, with 3:02 remaining on a 30-yard touchdown run by Greg Johnson, capping a 75-yard march on 6 plays.
