Ekdahl, Lim Receive Top Honors From South Coast League

Eric Ekdahl, Mission Viejo High School’s record-setting slotback, was named the most valuable offensive player of the South Coast League in a vote of the league’s football coaches.

Ekdahl established an Orange County record by scoring 212 points on 25 touchdowns, 7 field goals and 41 conversion kicks. Ki Soo Lim, starting linebacker at Irvine for 3 seasons, was named the league’s most valuable defensive player.

Mission Viejo, which won the league title for the second consecutive year, placed 7 players on the first team and El Toro had 6 players named.
