Campbell Named Garden Grove’s Player of Year
Scott Campbell, who led the La Quinta High School basketball team to the league title, was named the player of the year in the Garden Grove League by a vote of the league’s boys’ basketball coaches.
Campbell, a 6-foot-4 senior forward, led Orange County in scoring with 28.9 points per game. He also averaged 8.4 rebounds.
Jim Perry of La Quinta was named the coach of the year.
