Muir 14, Palmdale 7--Muir’s Demitrious Martin and Carlton Greer combined for 204 yards rushing and two touchdowns in 39 carries at Palmdale to spoil the debut of first-year Palmdale Coach Kent Bothwell.

After Greer scored in the first quarter, Palmdale’s LaShante Parker countered by returning the ensuing kickoff 91 yards down the right sideline for a touchdown. The Falcons were held to four yards rushing until midway through the third quarter.

Palmdale finished the game with 67 yards total offense and Parker accounted for 51. The teams combined for 181 yards in penalties, including six personal fouls.
