Financial News Network has sent a cease-and-desist letter to KABC-TV over the station’s new “Monday Night Live” call-in sports trivia show, claiming copyright infringement of FNN’s “Time Out for Trivia.” “They made no effort to make this show different,” FNN executive vice president Arnie Rosenthal said Tuesday. “We are threatening litigation and are now aggressively pursuing other remedies.” “Monday Night Live,” which debuted after ABC’s football game Monday night, is hosted by Todd Donoho. Donoho also hosted “Time Out for Trivia” from September, 1985, to June, 1989, before joining Channel 7. KABC-TV general manager Terry Crofoot could not be reached for comment.
