Eagle Rock 12, Poly 7--Eagle Rock linebacker Raul Marin recovered a fumble and returned it 59 yards for a touchdown late in the third quarter to give the Eagles (1-0) the win at Poly.

Poly (0-2) had three fumbles in the second half, one of which occurred on the Eagle Rock two-yard line in the fourth quarter.

Trailing, 6-0, in the second quarter, Poly took a 7-6 lead when junior Jonathan Campbell capped a nine-play, 59-yard scoring drive with a two-yard run. Campbell finished with a game-high 100 yards in 17 carries.

Eagle Rock tailback Arin Dunn gained 68 yards in 27 carries and fullback Dean Bednar added 41 yards in six carries and one touchdown, a 23-yard scamper in the first quarter.
