SOUTHERN SECTION ROUNDUP : Fotheringham Passes for 257 Yards to Lead Hart to 43-8 Victory

Reserve quarterback Chad Fotheringham completed nine of 18 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns, including one of 82 yards to Adam Barlow and one of 51 yards to Lance Migita, to lead Hart to a 43-8 Foothill League rout of Alhambra on Friday night at College of the Canyons.

Fotheringham started in place of Rob Westervelt, the Valley-area’s leading passer who was suspended from school earlier in the week for his involvement in an on-campus altercation.

Hart tailback Howard Blackwell added three touchdowns on runs of five and four yards and a 66-yard punt return that came with 17 seconds left in the first half. Blackwell finished with 116 yards in 16 carries, 109 yards coming in the first half. He also caught two passes for 62 yards.

Hart (6-1, 2-0 in league play) held Alhambra (3-4, 0-2) to 19 yards in the first half and built a 29-0 lead.
