FALLS SPORTS ROUNDUP : Women’s Volleyball

Cal State Northridge d. UC San Diego, 15-10, 15-13, 15-13--Kathleen Dixon led the Lady Matadors with 17 kills in a nonconference match at San Diego.

The win boosts Northridge’s record to 14-9.

UC San Diego fell to 15-12.

Men’s Soccer

Cal Lutheran 1, Occidental 0--Larry Gidley scored an unassisted goal at the 12-minute mark of the first half in a nonconference men’s match at Occidental.

Occidental (6-8-2) outshot Cal Lutheran, eight to six.

College Wrestling

Moorpark took second place in the 13-team West Valley tournament in San Jose. The Raiders had one first-place finish and three second-place finishes as they scored 60 1/4 points. Fresno City won the tournament with 96 3/4 points.

Moorpark’s Serge Mezheritsky won at 142 pounds, decisioning Ray Wrangle of Fresno City, 6-5, to finish unbeaten in four matches.
