Loyola Volleyballers Lose 2 Matches
Loyola Marymount lost its hold on second place in the West Coast Conference volleyball race when the Lions lost their second home match in two nights Saturday, 15-5, 10-15, 15-12, 15-12, to the University of Portland.
The loss, coming on the heels of Friday’s five-game loss to Gonzaga, dropped the Lions into a tie with Portland and Gonzaga at 7-4 in the WCC. The Lions fell to 8-13 despite 26 digs and 15 kills by Kerry House. Portland is 14-12 overall.
The Lions play a nonconference match at UC Irvine on Tuesday.
