Brea-Olinda’s Streak on Line

Defending Division III state champion Brea-Olinda High School, Orange County’s top-ranked girls’ basketball team, will put its school-record 30 consecutive victories on the line tonight in the first round of the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions, the premier girls’ tournament in the country.
The 20-team Santa Barbara tournament features some of the country’s strongest teams, including the nation’s top-ranked team, Inglewood Morningside.
Brea-Olinda (8-0) plays Channel Islands at 8:45 tonight at Santa Barbara High School.
El Toro, the county’s second-ranked team, faces Morningside at 4 p.m.
