WOMEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Titans Easily Handle San Jose State, 61-48

Cal State Fullerton defeated San Jose State, 61-48, on Tuesday in the Big West Conference women’s basketball opener for both teams in San Jose.

Gina Miller, who was named Big West player of the week Tuesday, had 19 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots and Jill Matyuch had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Titans (6-4 overall, 1-0 in the conference).

In another Big West Conference game:

University of the Pacific 89, UC Irvine 45--Shannon Unfred scored 18 points for host Irvine (1-9, 0-1) which lost its conference opener. Julie Szukalski had 22 for Pacific (6-3, 1-0).
