Nonleague

Coronado 37, Bishop’s 32--Coronado (11-5) trailed by 11 at halftime, 22-11, but came out with a full-court press in the third quarter and outscored Bishop’s 12-2 to get back in the game. Mary Strausser had eight of her game-high 23 in that quarter.

Madison 41, Mission Bay 36--Madison overcame a three-point Mission Bay lead at the end of the third quarter to pull out the victory. Kristina Dawson score 15 for Madison and teammate Jill Leaks added 10.

USDHS 48, OLP 41 (OT)--Casey Burke scored 13 points and Kelly O’Neill added 14 points and 11 rebounds for USDHS (6-2). Tami Tavares led Our Lady of Peace with 13.

Serra 46, La Jolla 28--Serra improved to 8-6 and Pam Ross led the Conquistadors with 11 points.

Helix 36, West Hills 30--Andrea McTrusty scored 20 points to lead Helix (4-7).

Avocado League

Oceanside 57, Carlsbad 38--Oceanside remained undefeated in league play as Mildred Conston led the way with 22 points, five steals, three blocks and 12 rebounds. Teammate Angie Sims added 14 points, had one steal and 13 rebounds.

Oceanside improved to 11-4 and 3-0 in the Avocaado League. Carlsbad fell to 4-5, 1-1.

Palomar League

Torrey Pines 57, Orange Glen 40--Torrey Pines (15-1, 3-0) went on a 10-0 run two minutes into the third quarter to put the game away. Karyn Armstrong led the spurt with six points and Daphney Brownson had the other four. Brownson led all scorers with 18 points and Armstrong added 13. She also finished with 10 rebounds and six steals and went six of seven from the field.

Orange Glen fell to 0-3, 0-10.

Metro League

Bonita Vista 56, Chula Vista 42--Alejandra Gavaldon scored 10 points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked two shots for Bonita Vista (9-4, 3-2). Malena Castano also had 10 points and Torrill Purvis added seven points and two blocks.
