North Hollywood 70, Poly 50--The Huskies outscored Poly, 13-2, in the second quarter and ran away in the Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Poly.

Center Dana Jones scored 17 points to lead North Hollywood (15-1, 3-0) and forward Harry Marks added 16. Red Mendoza scored 20 points to lead Poly (1-13, 0-3).

Granada Hills 100, Canoga Park 73--Aaron Lattimore (21 points and 11 rebounds) and Jermoine Brantley (20 points and 15 assists) sparked the Highlanders (11-7, 2-1) in a Northwest Valley Conference game.

Canoga Park’s Lindsey Dunbar led all scorers with 25 points and Marcus Reed added 22.

Grant 83, Monroe 58--Senior Setro Terzian scored 28 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Lancers (13-3, 3-0) to an easy Valley Pac-8 victory. Keith Weinstein added 17 points for Grant and Rene de la Hoya had 14.

Reseda 94, Sylmar 83--Marquis Burns scored 23 points and Mike Basowski added 22 to lead the Regents to a Valley Pac-8 win.

Donovan Walker scored 28 points for Sylmar (8-8, 1-2).

Birmingham 52 Van Nuys 45--Junior forward Brian Bennett scored 21 points to lead Birmingham (4-9, 1-2) as the Braves beat visiting Van Nuys (2-12, 1-2) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game.

Forward Michael Crawford scored 16 points for the Wolves.

Kennedy 40, Chatsworth 39--Josh Etting scored a game-high 12 points and hit a layup with 10 seconds left to seal the victory for the Golden Cougars (8-6, 2-1).

Chatsworth (3-9, 0-3) had a chance to tie, but Chris Dunbar missed a three-point shot and Craig Hewitt put in a rebound for two points as time expired. Dunbar led the Chancellors with 10.

Antelope Valley 80, Quartz Hill 76--Chris Walters sank two free throws with five seconds to play to determine the see-saw Golden League game at Antelope Valley.

Walters scored a game-high 35 points as the lead changed hands 12 times. But it was the play of sixth man Bobby Paiz that proved pivotal for the Antelopes (15-3, 3-0). Paiz scored a career-high 14 points, including two clutch three point baskets in the fourth quarter.

Chris Young scored 22 points to lead Quartz Hill (10-8, 1-2). Forward Gabe Higa scored 19.

Royal 85, Channel Islands 63--Royal (15-3, 4-0) jumped to a 69-36 lead after three quarters in a Marmonte League game at Channel Islands and set a school record for victories in a season.

Jared Byrne and Russell Myers scored 22 and 20 points, respectively, for Royal. Channel Islands (7-9, 1-4) was led by Marlow Durmiendo with 17 points. Kenji Kato added 16 and Noe Noyola scored 15.

Westlake 61, Thousand Oaks 37--B. J. Sena had a game-high 17 points to lead the Warriors (10-4, 4-0) to a Marmonte League win over the Lancers.

Westlake’s defense was stifling, limiting Thousand Oaks to just nine field goals.

Calabasas 61, Agoura 45--Calabasas made 14 of 15 last-quarter free throws, including 10 of 11 by Jim Friedlander, to turn a two-point Frontier League game at Agoura into a blowout.

Calabasas (9-6, 3-0) scored 30 fourth-quarter points, and Friedlander scored a game-high 23 points. Tom Hoover and Mitch Chernow added 14 and 11.

Schurr 84, Burbank 72--Paul Tapp scored 24 points but Burbank (2-11, 1-1) lost the Foothill League game.

Montclair Prep 87, Village Christian 40--J. T. Billingslea and Cardell Henderson each scored 17 points to lead the Mounties (11-4, 4-0) to an Alpha League win over the visiting Crusaders (5-8, 1-2).

Loyola 56, Alemany 41--Jamal Adams scored 14 points and Joe Burdhardt and Andrew Doran added 10 each to lead the Cubs to the Del Rey League win. William Burr topped all scorers with 15 points for Alemany (6-12, 0-2).

L.A. Baptist 67, Marshall Fundamental 66 (OT)--Forward Alex Pistone scored 19 points and had 17 rebounds for L. A. Baptist (1-3) in an Alpha League game at Marshall Fundamental. Pistone tied the score with two seconds to play in regulation and added the winning point in overtime on a free throw.

Providence 40, Oakwood 39--Junior center Chris Jones, who scored 10 points, made a basket off an offensive rebound with three seconds to play in the Liberty League game at Providence.

Harvard 81, Chaminade 68--Mike Wolf scored 10 of his 16 points in the first quarter as the host Saracens won their seventh in a row.

Harvard (14-2, 3-0) led, 21-9, after the first quarter and extending its advantage to 46-31 at halftime. Forward Matt Clark paced the Saracens with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Chaminade’s Mark Mirkovich led all scorers with 21.

Palmdale 55, Saugus 34--John Johnson scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Palmdale to a Golden League victory at home.

Chris DeGlopper added 19 points for Palmdale (11-7, 3-0).

Crespi 70, St. John Bosco 57--Crespi grabbed a permanent lead in the first quarter of the Del Rey League game. Rasaan Hall (15 points), Christian Fauria (12), John Curtin (11) and Ryan Nordyke (11) led Crespi (8-9, 2-1).

Burroughs 67 San Gabriel 49--Ray Velasquez scored 19 points as Burroughs beat visiting San Gabriel in a Foothill League game.

Notre Dame 64, La Salle 52--Forwards Bobby Da Corsi and Paul Hewitt dominated the boards--and the San Fernando Valley League game at La Salle.

Da Corsi scored a game-high 33 points and had a season-high 16 rebounds. Hewitt scored 15 points and grabbed 20 rebounds.

Moorpark 51, St. Bonaventure 46--Brian Lester scored 18 points and Mike Granderson added 11 leading the host Musketeers (8-6, 2-0) in a Tri-Valley League game.

GIRLS

Granada Hills 51, Cleveland 41--Despite 15 points by Amy Horst and 14 by Jennifer Williams, Cleveland lost a Northwest Valley Conference game at Granada Hills.

Grant 52, Monroe 51 (OT)--Junior Karla Parade made a layup with one second to play in overtime to lift Grant (4-3, 2-1) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game.

Van Nuys 72, Birmingham 39--Senior center Stacie Toon scored 27 points and grabbed a season-high 22 rebounds to lead Van Nuys (13-3, 3-0) to a Valley Pac-8 Conference victory.

Highland Hall 28, Montclair Prep 24--The Hawks, a member of the Southern Section Small Schools Division, recorded their first win over a 1-A opponent in the team’s 10-year history.

San Fernando 34, Chatsworth 33--Trailing, 29-25, after three quarters, San Fernando bounced back to win a Northwest Valley Conference game at home.

Hart 57, Alhambra 38--Senior forward Sara Wilson equaled her season high with 26 points as the Indians (13-4, 2-0) won a Foothill League game at home.
