El Dorado 111, Cypress 63--El Dorado broke a three-game losing streak by setting a school scoring record, breaking the mark set in a 106-61 victory over Chino in 1985. It was 53-19 at the half. Forward Jerome Facione scored 14 points in the third quarter en route to a 25-point, 12-rebound night.
El Dorado, playing mostly reserves in the fourth quarter, scored 23 points to break the record. Mike Braddach scored 24 points, Brian Loyd scored 12, Brett Tomko added 15 points off the bench and Gary Smith scored 11 for El Dorado (12-9, 3-4). Jared Rice scored 23 points for Cypress (7-14, 0-7).
Los Alamitos 73, Katella 48--With the game tied at 26-26 at halftime, Los Alamitos went into a press and outscored Katella, 29-8, in the third quarter to take control of the game. Center Robert Conlisk scored 28 points and had 14 rebounds for Los Alamitos (17-5, 7-0). Forward Jason Cunningham added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Paul Schroeder scored 15 points for Katella (5-14, 1-5).
