In other boys’ games:

San Fernando 79, Chatsworth 43--Russell Baldwin scored a team-high 15 points and four other Tigers scored in double figures as San Fernando coasted to a West Valley League win.

North Hollywood 69, Van Nuys 55--The host Huskies led, 34-31, at the half then dominated the second half in the Mid-Valley League game.

Reseda 70, Monroe 50--Reseda took one step closer toward clinching a share of first place in the Mid-Valley League with a win at Monroe.

Senior forward Marquis Wilborn scored a team-high 20 points for Reseda (11-8, 7-2), and teammate Mike Basowski added 13 points. James Pigford (10 points) and Mike Hawkins (11 points) also scored in double figures for the Regents.

Birmingham 65, Poly 57--Link Polk scored nine of his 15 points in fourth quarter and Kevin Horton scored six of his nine in the fourth quarter for Birmingham, which clinched the second playoff spot in the East Valley League.

El Camino Real 69, Canoga Park 53--El Camino Real ran a match-up zone and held Canoga Park to a school-record low nine points in the first half in a West Valley League game at El Camino Real.

Grant 86, Sylmar 61--The host Lancers used a 20-7 third quarter spurt to put away Sylmar in an East Valley League game.

Simi Valley 63, Thousand Oaks 56--Mike Wawryk scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead second-place Simi Valley (16-8, 8-3) in the Marmonte League game at home.

Camarillo 58, Newbury Park 49--Guard Rick Schnell scored 19 points to lead Camarillo (16-8, 7-5) to a Marmonte League victory over visiting Newbury Park (1-10).

Moorpark 61, Oak Park 54--Robert Hernandez scored a season-high 18 points, including 12 of 13 free throws, as host Moorpark (12-9, 6-3) clinched a tie for second place in the Tri-Valley League.

GIRLS

Van Nuys 60, North Hollywood 58--Center Stacie Toon scored 25 points and had 19 rebounds to lead the host Wolves to the Mid-Valley League title.

Van Nuys (17-4, 10-0) led by 10 points in the the second quarter, but North Hollywood (11-7, 8-2) rallied with 3 minutes 17 seconds remaining in the half to tie the score at 26. But Van Nuys took a 49-41 led at the end of the third quarter.
