PREP SOFTBALL ROUNDUP : Dana Hills’ Errors Let El Toro Win in11

El Toro High School, ranked ninth in the county, scored two runs on three errors by Dana Hills in the 11th inning to win a South Coast League softball game, 3-2, Wednesday at Dana Hills.
Jennifer Jourdan (6-2) allowed six hits and struck out five for the victory, which raised El Toro’s record to 18-8, 6-1 in league.
In another South Coast League softball game:
San Clemente 2, Irvine 1--San Clemente scored two runs in the top of the seventh.
Wendy Moon and April Rivera scored on a throwing error during a rundown between home and third base.
In the Sea View League:
University 2, Tustin 1--Lisa Anthony drove in two runs with a single in the fourth as visiting University (12-10, 4-3) defeated the league’s first-place team. Each team had only two hits.
Tustin (12-8, 6-1) dropped into a tie with Saddleback for first place.
Newport Harbor 17, Corona del Mar 2 (five innings, mercy rule)--Stacey Giem went four for five and scored four runs, Ali Barry had three hits and scored three runs, and Barbara Kopicki had two hits and scored three times for visiting Newport Harbor (5-9, 2-5).
