Jalewalia Heads List of Fabulous 44 Picks

Amy Jalewalia of La Quinta High School, the leading scorer in the state the past two seasons, heads the list of selections for the South team that will participate in the Fabulous 44 all-star basketball game June 24 in UC Irvine’s Bren Center.

Aimee McDaniel, who led Brea-Olinda to the state Division III championship game the past two seasons, and Marina’s Melisa Sortino also were selected.

Joe Murrillo of Chino will coach the team against the top 11 players from Northern California.
