Hilltop 14, Ramona 10--Hilltop (1-1) trailed, 10-7, at halftime but Chris White caught a 35 yard pass from Jorge Munoz in the fourth quarter to upset No. 5 Ramona (2-1). Munoz completed 19 of 32 passes for 220 yards with a second touchdown pass to White. White made seven catches for 101 yards.

Morse 57, Vista 14--Gary Taylor rushed for 177 yards in 18 carries and scored five touchdowns to lead Morse (4-0). Quarterback Teddy Lawrence rushed nine times for 156 yards. Morse rushed 41 times for a total of 451 yards. Vista is 0-3.

Crawford 26, Serra 3--Crawford ran for 323 yards with quarterback Phil Parker picking up 109 of them on 10 carries. James Hester ran four times for 74 yards and two touchdowns and William Walker picked up 72 yards on 14 carries. On defense, Chris La Chance had 10 tackles and one sack and Parker had one interception. Afterward, the Colts (1-2) celebrated by emptying a water cooler on Coach Chuck Fawcette. Serra fell to 0-3.

Castle Park 31, Clairemont 6--Castle Park’s Marcus Darden completed six of 12 passes for 135 yards and had two touchdown passes of 21 yards to Rudy Castillo and 38 yards to Dujuan Frankin. Castle Park (2-1) took a 24-0 halftime lead and kept Clairemont (0-3) from scoring until the fourth quarter.

San Marcos 22, Poway 14--Mark Frazier rushed 20 times for 105 yards and three touchdowns, and Eric Morton intercepted three passes--two inside the Knight 20-yard line--to lead San Marcos (2-1). Tom Fischer completed 15 of 34 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns for No. 9 Poway (2-1).

Orange Glen 36, San Pasqual 27--Omar Navaro competed 15 of 18 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns for Orange Glen (2-1). Cullen Owen ran for 121 yards on 23 carries and scored three touchdowns for San Pasqual (1-2).

Southwest 16, Lincoln 15--Jose Garcia kicked a 29-yard field goal with 52 seconds to play to lift visiting Southwest (2-1) over Lincoln (0-4). Lincoln hasn’t lost its first four games since 1969. Garcia also had field goals of 34 yards and 27 yards. The winning drive was set up by a Tom Lapira fumble recovery at the Lincoln 26 with 4:45 remaining. Lincoln’s Junior Ochoa rushed for 101 yards in 20 carries.

Marian 29, Mar Vista 8--Marian won its first game of the season and improved to 1-2 by defeating host Mar Vista (0-3).

Sweetwater 35, Playa del Rey St. Bernard 14--The Branch brothers kept the Sweetwater scoring drive alive, with Willie and Danny scoring all five of the Red Devils touchdowns at Sweetwater (2-1). Willie scored on runs of 12 and 64 yards and caught a touchdown pass from David Gregorio. Danny ran 15 yards for a touchdown and returned an interception 81 yards for another. St. Bernard’s dropped to 1-2. Willie Branch carried 18 times for 174 yards. Both Branches had two interceptions.

Bonita Vista 28, Monte Vista 7--Travis Sorge had runs for four and one yard to score Bonita Vista’s first two touchdowns. DeSean Winfield caught a 43-yard pass from Ron Harris in the second quarter to score Monte Vista’s (1-2) only lone touchdown.

Santana 27, El Capitan 0--In the battle of the winless, Santana (1-2) won by staying on the ground as Aaron Lambert rushed 21 times for 126 yards and teammate Jason Lewis added 133 on 30 carries. Each also had a touchdown. El Capitan fell to 0-3.

Granite Hills 22, Valhalla 0--Tom Fordham kicked field goals of 25, 40 and 30 yards to lead Granite Hills (2-1). Valhalla is 1-2.

Mission Bay 3, San Diego 0--Mission Bay (1-2), which lost 3-0 last week to St. Augustine, turned the tables on San Diego (2-1) on Brent Kirsten’s 43-yard field goal. The Cavers had a 26-yard touchdown run by Marcos Garcia nullified by a penalty.

Kearny 31, Patrick Henry 15--Kearny remained undefeated and improved to 3-0. Patrick Henry suffered its first loss and fell to 1-2.

La Jolla 57, Coronado 0--La Jolla ran for 360 yards on 38 carries and quarterback Brian Hildalgo threw for 86 yards and a touchdown by completing five of 13 passes.

La Jolla had three players score two touchdowns: Nick Alford, E.J. Watson and Craig Woodhall. Alex Brown also scored touchdowns for La Jolla (2-1). Coronado (1-2) was held to 53 yards on the ground and 46 passing.

Rancho Bernardo 35, CETYS 14--Pete Keleher scored three touchdowns, one on a 57-yard run, and Josh Stang passed for two touchdowns as Rancho Bernardo (2-1) won its second in a row.

Granite Hills 22, Valhalla 0--Granite Hills got its first victory of the season and improved to 2-1; Valhalla dropped to 1-2.

Southern Conference (eight-man)

Bishop’s 53, Victory Christian 6--The game was called in the third quarter because of the 45-point rule in eight-man football. Ryan Smith ran for 153 yards in 11 carries and had four touchdowns for Bishop’s (2-1). Steve Vasil ran for two touchdowns and threw for another. Victory Christian fell to 1-2.
