Smith Sparks Bishop’s Victory

Ryan Smith scored five touchdowns--three rushing, one on a 55-yard pass reception and another on a 67-yard kickoff return--to lead The Bishop’s School to a 48-27 nonleague victory over St. Margaret’s on Saturday.

Smith carried 13 times for 65 yards and scored on runs of four, five and five yards as Bishop’s improved to 5-1 in the eight-man 1-A Coastal League.

Quarterback Steve Vasil completed four of nine passes for 116 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for a pair of scores.
