Loyola Opens Season in Hawaii

Loyola Marymount will open its season tonight against conference rival Santa Clara in the first round of the Maui Classic. The game will be televised by ESPN at 9 p.m.

Jay Hillock will make his debut as the Lions’ coach without the services of three players--co-captains Tony Walker and Tom Peabody and 6-foot-10 center Richard Petruska, all home in Los Angeles with injuries.
