GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS : Tustin Finally Scores a Postseason Victory

The Tustin High School girls’ basketball team won its first Southern Section playoff game in more than six seasons Thursday night with a 58-47 victory over Mission Viejo in a Division II-AA game at Tustin.
The Tillers’ Shari Needham scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds and center Christine Garner added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Tustin (24-3) will meet the winner of Saturday night’s game between Canyon and Santiago.
