Andre Chevalier came up short on an eight-foot, off-balance jump shot with six seconds left Thursday night as Cal State Northridge lost its fifth consecutive game, 98-96, to U.S. International at Golden Hall.

The Gulls ended an 18-game losing streak. They are 2-22.

Kevin Bradshaw scored U.S. International’s last four points en route to his 46 points. He is leading the nation in scoring with a 37.7 average.

Chevalier missed a free throw with 13 seconds left that would have tied the game. Three seconds later, Bradshaw sank one of two attempts.
