Westminster 9, Muir 8 (eight innings)--Greg Cantin scored for host Westminster (2-2) when Keith Cowley hit a ball to third and the throw went into right field.

In the Glendora tournament:

Canyon 10, West Covina 5--Steve Myers drove in five runs, four of them on a third-inning grand slam, to lead Canyon (3-0-1) in the game for fifth place.

Fullerton 11, Crescenta Valley 6--Keith Ginter hit a three-run home run for Fullerton (3-1) in a third-place game.

In nonleague:

Rancho Alamitos 11-4, Buena Park 6-3--Brian Jordan had three hits, including a two-run homer, and scored three runs to lead host Rancho Alamitos (2-1) in the opener.

Bolsa Grande 5-1, Woodbridge 3-3 (First game eight innings)--Bolsa Grande scored twice in the eighth to win: Bill Kercher hit a sacrifice fly to score Mike Mancini and Paul Gill stole third and the throw went into left field to allow Gill to score. Woodbridge (1-1) scored three unearned runs on four errors and Trent Zappen, who hit a two-run home run in the first game, pitched a five-hitter and struck out eight.

Serra 11-8, Orange Lutheran 10-12 (Second game six innings, darkness)--David Rossi had three hits, including a double and had three RBIs in the first game for visiting Orange Lutheran (2-1).
