Notes: Katella’s Carlson, a state champion last year, is the first high jumper to clear seven feet in county history. San Clemente’s Martin ran 10.68 for 100 meters last year, best in the county. Esperanza’s Parlin and Sims will try to lead the Aztecs to a third consecutive 3-A championship. Mission Viejo’s Dean was No. 1-ranked at 100 meters (12.36) and 200 meters (25.38) last year. Katella’s Pinto was second in the state 3,200 last year and has a best of 10:42.51.
