Sea View track--Because of a scoring error, the second-place finisher in the Sea View League 1,600-meter race was incorrectly reported in Friday’s Times. Corona del Mar’s Jack Hogan finished second. Also, the 110-hurdle record, before it was broken Thursday, was incorrectly reported; the previous record was 14.6 seconds.

Saddleback’s Tony Davis won the 200- and 400-meter dashes to lead the Roadrunners’ onslaught. Davis ran the 400 in 49.50 seconds and came back to run the 200 in 22.58. He also ran on both the 400 and 1,600 relays. Teammate Charlie Davidson broke the league meet record in the 110 high hurdles, running 14.48. The old record was 14.8.

“We’ve been awesome tonight and we’ve gone far and above what our projections were,” said Saddleback Coach Jim Knapp. “A lot of the efforts we knew they were going to happen, but it seems like every event Saddleback went 1-2.”

In other boys’ events, Newport’s Mike Hancock won the 1,600-meter run in 4:33.98 and was second to Corona del Mar’s Jack Hogan in the 800. Hogan won the 800 in 1:58.44 over Hancock (1:59.57) in a come-from-behind finish.

In the girls’ competition, Woodbridge won the league title with 161 points over University’s 100. Newport Harbor was third at 99.

Woodbridge’s Amy Robles captured the 800 in 2:19.63 and the 1,600 in 5:12.41. After each race, Robles had to be attended to after nearly fainting. Robles said she didn’t remember the last 200 meters of the 1,600 when she passed Newport Harbor’s Mary Crane, who was second in 5:13.92.
