ANAHEIM — Lance Eddy said Monday he has resigned as softball coach at Canyon High School.
Eddy has been the Comanches’ coach for the past nine seasons. He had a record of 159-87-3.
Under Eddy, Canyon won three Century League championships and qualified for the Southern Section playoffs seven times. Canyon reached the second round of the playoffs twice.
Canyon finished 21-6 and second in league this season. The Comanches were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
“I feel I’ve accomplished a lot,” Eddy said. “You reach a point where it may be healthy for both parties to go in different directions. I basically spent seven or eight months a year with the Canyon softball program. I want to do some other things.”
Eddy will remain a teacher at Canyon.
