OUTLOOK

Riverside has been picked to win the Central Division by the sports information directors but a flurry of injuries could hamper the Tigers’ chances. Three linemen, including Anderson (twisted ankle) and Baskin (leg injury), will be out at least three weeks. Quarterback Manu returns to run the veer offense. He rushed for 221 yards and five touchdowns in 101 carries last season. He also passed for 492 yards (31 of 63) and seven touchdowns. McDaniel was an all-conference selection as he kicked a school single-season record 12 field goals. He also tied a national community college record with five field goals in a game. Vaoifi rushed for 738 yards and a team-best 12 touchdowns in 100 carries. Smith should be the defensive leader; he had a team-high 81 tackles from his inside linebacker spot last season. He played in all 11 games last season, but started the final five.
