Fillmore 15, Calabasas 7--Running back Rey Garnica rushed for 111 yards in 15 carries and completed two passes for 113 yards to lead host Fillmore (3-6, 1-2).

Garnica had a hand in every Fillmore score. On the first play of the game, Garnica tossed a 63-yard pass to wide receiver Louis Garza for a touchdown. On the last play of the first quarter, Garnica romped 38 yards for a touchdown.

Moments before halftime, Garnica booted a 38-yard field goal for a 15-7 lead.

Calabasas’ only score came in the first quarter after a botched Fillmore punt attempt gave the Coyotes (4-5, 1-3) the ball at the Fillmore 23. Four plays later, Scott Sistrunk plunged in from two yards.

Garza had three receptions for 126 yards. Fillmore’s Phillip Chessani completed six of 12 passes for 79 yards with three interceptions.
