Dominguez Hills Sets Record in Win Over San Bernardino

The Cal State Dominguez Hills men’s basketball team made a school-record 23 of 25 free-throw attempts and defeated CS San Bernardino, 63-58, Saturday night at San Bernardino.

The Toros (9-6 overall, 1-1 in California Collegiate Athletic Assn. play) struggled from the field in the first half, making only seven of 28 shots.

Freshman guard Chris Thompson and senior forward Segaro Bozart each scored 16 points to lead Dominguez Hills.

Guard Develle Walker scored 23 points to lead San Bernardino (8-7, 1-1).

Dominguez Hills plays host to Cal Poly Pomona on Friday night.

Cheri Bullet scored 18 of her game-high 22 points in the second half as the Cal State Dominguez Hills women’s basketball team defeated CS San Bernardino, 57-49, in overtime Saturday night at San Bernardino.

The victory gave the Toros a 2-0 record in California Collegiate Athletic Assn. play. It is the first time in school history that Dominguez Hills (10-7) has won its first two conference games.

Christa Ramierez led San Bernardino (6-10 overall, 0-2 in conference play) with 12 points.
