PREP POLLS : Mater Dei Wins Basketball Title

Mater Dei High School received all six first-place votes and finished the regular season as the top-ranked team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. boys’ prep basketball poll.
It marks the eighth time in the past nine years Mater Dei has won the county’s mythical championship. Saddleback finished as the top-ranked team in 1989.
