In other Division 4-A matches:
Alta Loma 2, Santa Margarita 1--Bob O’Keefe beat two Santa Margarita defenders and scored from 12 yards out midway through the first half for Alta Loma (17-3-4). Santa Margarita scored against itself with five minutes left in the first half with Curt Hughes receiving credit for the goal.
Josh Keller scored for Santa Margarita (15-6-3) on a cross from Dan Sparks midway through the second half.
Santa Ana 2, Chino Don Lugo 1 (OT)--Miguel Abarca headed a cross by Rafael Serrano into the net with five minutes left in the second overtime period as the Saints (15-6-3) successfully began their championship defense.
In Division 3-A:
Los Alamitos 2, Kennedy 1 (2 OT)--Sophomore Pat Lee scored on a header at the 118th minute to lead Los Alamitos (12-5-5) at Kennedy. The score was tied, 1-1, after regulation, but it took two 10-minute regulation overtimes and two 10-minute sudden death overtimes to seal the victory. Rolando Gonzalez had 26 saves for Kennedy.
In Division 2-A:
Anaheim 4, Trabuco Hills 0--After a scoreless first half, Armondo Solis scored twice and Alex Perez and William Monge each added a goal for the host Colonists (14-1-10).
El Dorado 2, Calexico 0--Nate Anderson, replacing the injured Blaine Leitner in goal, made four saves and Mike Lussier and Carlos Cedano scored at El Dorado.
Santiago 2, La Serna 1 (Santiago wins on penalty kicks, 4-2)--Rafael Mosqueda scored in regulation and David Sotelo, Angel Moreno, Marcos Chavez and Mosqueda made penalty kicks for Santiago (16-5-1).
North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake 2, Estancia 1--Jed Thayer scored on an assist from David Moran with less than three minutes to play to lead host Harvard-Westlake (14-3-2), seeded third in Division 2-A.
