In the other Division III semifinal:
OLP 38, La Jolla 35--Top-seeded Our Lady of Peace never trailed at University City, but frittered away its 22-15 halftime lead, and let the fourth-seeded Vikings close to within three points as the fourth quarter opened.
La Jolla tried several field goals from three-point range as the clock wound down, but was never successful. Freshman Suzie Erpelding led the Pilots (16-8) with 14 points. Teammate Renee Ponce, a senior, added 10. Lauren Andrade and Leah Williams paced the Vikings with 11 and 10 point, respectively.
