Santa Ana High School administrators recently dedicated the baseball field “Bill Ross Field” in honor of its former coach who retired two years ago to become the school’s athletic director.

Ross coached varsity baseball at Santa Ana for 32 years in five decades from 1959 to 1990. He compiled a 477-238 record and won the Southern Section 3-A title in 1982.
