ANAHEIM — The body of a 48-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound in the head at his apartment Thursday, police said.
A relative found Gurperminder Singh dead in a living room chair at about 12:55 p.m., Police Sgt. Chet Barry said.
Singh apparently had not been dead more than a few hours, Barry said, and there were no signs of forced entry at the apartment at 1030 N. Magnolia Ave.
Barry said homicide investigators do not know who shot Singh or why.
Neighbors said they did not hear sounds from the apartment or see anyone leaving it, he said.
Singh apparently lived with two or three teen-agers, he said.
No weapon was found in the apartment, said Barry, who added that investigators have not yet determined the type and caliber of the slaying weapon.
