Athletes Should Not Promote Stereotypes
I have often laughed at the antics of Charles Barkley and took him as someone not to be taken seriously. But after the article of March 10, I had to comment.
We, as black Americans, are very aware of the racism in our society, and I’m sure there is a lot in the athletic world.
But for an idiot such as Charles Barkley to continue to speak out about it in the manner he has is a total disgrace. It is well known that Barkley has often spoken disrespectfully about black women and he showed his feelings by marrying a white woman.
Stick to basketball and keep your mouth shut.
