El Toro 3, San Clemente 2--Mike Gledhill had 23 kills and Brent Neilson had 58 assists for visiting El Toro (3-5, 2-2), which won 15-13, 5-15, 11-15, 15-10, 15-11.

In Century League boys’ volleyball:

Valencia 3, Western 1--Jon Young had 14 kills for visiting Valencia (9-1, 4-0), which won, 15-9, 12-15, 15-4, 15-6. Chris Jackson had 11 kills for Western (3-4, 1-2).

In Garden Grove League boys’ volleyball:

Los Amigos 3, La Quinta 0--Setter Harry Guldjian had 33 assists for Los Amigos (7-3, 6-2). La Quinta is 7-3, 6-2.

In Sunset League boys’ volleyball:

Santa Ana 3, Westminster 2--Junior outside hitter John Boyd set a school record with 30 kills. It was also the first victory for Santa Ana (4-10, 1-6) in the Sunset League. The Saints’ Carlos Bolanos added 16 kills.

In South Coast League softball:

Capistrano Valley 1, San Clemente 0--Danette Morris, who went two for three with two stolen bases, scored for Capistrano Valley (4-6-2, 1-1) in the first inning. San Clemente came close to scoring in the seventh inning, but Cougar pitcher Daniela Hugelshofer struck out the last batter. San Clemente is 6-7, 0-2.

In Academy League softball:

Liberty Christian 12, Heritage Christian 2 (five innings)--Jen Craven threw a no-hitter and Liberty Christian (5-3, 3-1) capitalized on seven Heritage Christian errors.

St. Margaret’s 7, Cal Lutheran 6--Monica Arreola led off the bottom of the seventh with a homer for St. Margaret’s (8-1, 3-1).

In Sunset League softball:

Marina 2, Westminster 1--Marina scored unearned runs in the third and sixth innings to improve its record to 7-4, 4-1.

Fountain Valley 7, Edison 0--Jennifer Leiloha hit a bases-loaded triple in the sixth and freshman pitcher Lynea Backlund threw a one-hitter for visiting Fountain Valley. Edison is (4-7, 1-4).

Ocean View 9, Santa Ana 1--Alison Murphy was two for four with three stolen bases for Ocean View (9-6, 4-1). Becky Polk (6-1) gave up one run in six innings to earn the victory.

In nonleague softball:

Newport Harbor 13, Costa Mesa 0 (5 innings, mercy rule)--Kim De Mayo, a sophomore catcher, had two hits, three runs scored, three RBIs, and hit her second home run in two days for host Newport Harbor (7-4). Jennie Colclasure threw a five-inning no-hitter, striking out six, for the Sailors.

In Angelus League boys’ tennis:

Santa Margarita 12, Servite 6--The doubles teams of Sean Crafts-Jeff Larson and Jed Siacor-Kevin Cimini each swept doubles sets for host Santa Margarita (11-3, 6-0).

In Sunset League boys’ tennis:

Marina 13, Westminster 5--Christian Butala swept his singles sets, 7-5, 6-3, 6-0, for host Marina (14-1, 7-0). The doubles teams of Adam Lipson-John Tran and Noel Zosa-Tony Tran also swept their sets for the Vikings. Westminster is 8-7, 4-3.

In Orange League boys’ tennis:

Brea-Olinda 12, Magnolia 6--Ryan Thomas swept his singles matches to lead Brea-Olinda.

Savanna 13, Anaheim 5--Todd Merryman swept at No. 1 singles for host Savanna (4-10, 1-3).
