BOYS’ TRACK

Marmonte League prelims--Agoura junior Scott Mitchell had the fastest qualifying marks in the 100 (personal best of 10.7 seconds) and 200 (22.3) meters, but it was the depth of talent in the 800 meters that highlighted the qualifying round at Camarillo High.

That depth was so great that Camarillo’s McRay Bryson ran 1 minute 59.2 seconds in the 800, but finished a non-qualifying fourth in the second heat. The top three finishers in the three heats advanced to Friday’s finals.
