Pierce College outfielder Joey Arnold has been named to the junior college all-state baseball team as selected by coaches.

Arnold, a sophomore, was the Western State Conference player of the year and the Southern California co-player of the year, sharing that honor with Rancho Santiago pitcher Mike Fontana.

Other Pierce players named to the All-Southern California team are pitcher Mike Eby, designated hitter Robby Welles, infielder Jason Cohen and outfielder Erik Martinez. All four are second-team selections.

Pierce finished third in the junior college state tournament.
