Volleyball All-Stars Play Tonight

La Habra’s Zrinka Kristich and Newport Harbor’s Russ Gan will be among the players competing in the Orange County boys’ and girls’ volleyball all-star matches tonight at Golden West College.

Kristich, who led La Habra to the State Division II title last fall, will lead the North team against the South, which features Newport Harbor’s Maureen McLaren and Tara Kroesch.

Gan, The Times Orange County player of the year, will join Newport Harbor teammates Frank Griffo and Justin McIntee on the North team. The South features Irvine’s Chris Swanner and Laguna Beach’s Eric Fegraus.

The girls’ match will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the boys’ match at 7:30. Both matches will be best of three.

The North boys and girls won last year’s matches.
