Three Orange Lutheran student-athletes have signed national letters of intent with four-year colleges, according to girls’ Athletic Director Nancy Paul.
Kara Stephens, who lettered for four years on the girls’ basketball team, will play for Christ College Irvine. Stephens, who was named the Olympic League’s female athlete of the year, also set a school discus record (127 feet 3 3/4 inches) competing for the girls’ track team.
Jason Fox, who had a 5-2 record with a 1.76 earned-run average, has also signed with Christ College Irvine.
J.P. Pressley, co-captain of Orange Lutheran’s football team, has signed with Azusa Pacific. Pressley was an all-Olympic League linebacker and first baseman. He set a school record with 34 runs batted in this season and also plans to play baseball at Azusa Pacific.
